i would like to know if those Linksys Routers are as good as they clame to Be and if so what other accessories do you need with it..thankx|||I have one and am happy.|||Ive have had a linksys, netgear and dlink, I think the linksys has given me the least trouble and its still working (others arnt) You just need a wirless adapter(s) in the computers you are using if you go wireless.|||im using WRT330N and it works great!|||It pretty good router system|||I've had mine for over 3 years, never had any problems with it. Easy to setup and no maintenance. Just plug it in and forget it!! As for accessories, that depends on what you are connecting to it. If it is a wireless router (like mine), then each pc or laptop will need a wireless adapter to connect , unless you want to connect them directly with the LAN cables. other than that, you really do not need anything.|||Linksys is a very good manufacturor. They are made by Cisco Systems, which is the best in the world. They also have awesome tech support, although they are a little hard to understand. I have, however, never had techs who were so competent!
As far as what else you need, you may need to be more specific about what you want to do to get that answered.|||I'm on a Mac, and I've had both Netgear and Linksys routers: both advertised that they were Mac compatible.
The Netgear worked out of the box.
After hours on the phone with Linksys customer support (that I could barely understand) I gave up and tried to return it. But it was beyond the date. It was basically a waste of $50, in my experience.
I'd recommend the Netgear over a Linksys.
