How do I connect High Speed Internet to a linksys router?
I have a linksys router and TWC Road Runner. I want to connect them so that my lap top and desk top can have internet. Do I do this by: hooking the ethernet cord from time warner into my linksys and running an ethernet from the linksys to the computer??? Please help! Thanks!|||That would be absolutely correct!|||IF you buy the linksys router it will give you instructions. usually you plug in the ethernet cable that you have currently in your computer to the wireless router, and from the wireless router you have another ethernet cable pluged into the computer. then just install all the drivers and everything and u'll be good|||here is a linksys link http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite鈥?/a> that will help you connect your 2 computers.|||For complete instructions go to the Linksys site. In the support tab you can get a copy of the manual and all instructions for your device. Since you didn't give much information about the router the simpliest way is to connect the TWC wire into the internet port on the router, the one seperated from the other four and then run an ethernet cable from the router to the computer. You can use any of the four ports.
