How do you set up an internet connection with linksys router?

Ok I have a laptop and i had the internet connection then i lost it. I'm trying to use a linksys router to get internet back on and it didn't recognize it. And when i do the right click on the internet connection thing it says there are no wireless connections in the area or something like that. What do i do?|||Are you sure it didn't say something along the lines of "Windows can not display any wireless networks because another program is managing this wireless device" ?|||check u r drivers
